Benjapon is a lecturer in Economics at Chiang Mai University and is now on leave to pursue his PhD in Economics at the University of Cambridge.
As a Thai government scholar, he receives his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.
His research interest lies within the areas of Development, particularly related to health, education, and micro-credit policies in developing countries. His recent work examines the impact of public health insurance provision on rural households’ investments decisions. His work also studies the impact of weather shocks on households and the role of micro-credits in alleviating the impact on agricultural households. Benjapon also has experiences around Digital and Telecommunications Economy having conducted several policy evaluation projects for Thailand’s NBTC.
