Dr. Chutatong Charumilind is currently the Secretary-General of the Insurance Premium Rating Bureau, Thailand. Prior joining the Bureau in 2012, she worked at the Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance. She has substantive experience relating directly to crop insurance policy in Thailand. She is one of the key initiators and liaisons with executives of related government stakeholders in developing and designing the Thailand Rice Insurance Scheme in 2011.
Dr. Charumilind has extensive experiences in various aspects of government policies. Prior joining the Fiscal Policy Office, Dr. Charumilind was an economist at the Revenue Department, and the International Trade Strategy Bureau, Ministry of Commerce. With strong background in statistics from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, Dr. Charumilind followed her passion in development economics, and finished her Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University through the Royal Thai Government scholarship. Her research has been published in the World Development Report, and the Journal of Business.
