
Minh Tam Bui is, currently, an Assistant Professor of Economics at Srinakharinwirot University where she has been working for almost 10 years. She holds a PhD in Economics from Thammasat University, Thailand. Prior to her PhD, she worked as an economist with various ministries and donor-funded development projects in Vietnam, including the World Bank, DFID, ADB, ILO, UNDP. Dr. Bui was invited to the Department of Economics, University of Utah (USA) in 2014 and the School of Political Science and Economics, Meiji University (Japan) in 2018 as a visiting scholar/professor.
Dr. Bui’s research areas cover economic integration in East Asia with some specific issues on migration, border economy and regional production network, gender inequality and women’s entrepreneurship in the ASEAN. Her most recent research interests include time use survey, unpaid care work, aging society and financial inclusion, mostly from a gender perspective.
