
Monthien Satimanon, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Thammasat University’s Faculty of Economics, specializing in applied microeconometrics, industrial policy, and data-driven impact evaluation.
He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Michigan State University in 2013 and has been teaching at Thammasat University since 2002.
Dr. Satimanon brings extensive consulting experience with The World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, focusing on digital economy transformation, competition policy, and industrial competitiveness. His research expertise spans environmental economics, sustainable business models, and the economic impacts of technological innovation. He is proficient in advanced econometric techniques and data science, with expertise in Python, R, STATA, MATLAB, GAMS, and machine learning applications.
