Currently Nattapong is Assistant Professor, Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University.He has worked as a consultant to various government agencies and organizations such as the World Bank, ADB, OECD, ILO, JICA, IDE-JETRO, Thailand’s NESDB, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Industry. He has been conducting research in the areas of international trade, CGE modeling, network analysis, spatial economics and resource economics. In addition, he has published papers in medical and public health journals, examining applications of satellite data and GIS analysis.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and he was then awarded the Royal Thai Government Scholarship, through which he obtained his Ph.D. in Regional Economics from Cornell University.
