
Savaphol earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics (with first-class honors and gold medal) from Chulalongkorn University, and master’s degrees in Applied and Computational Mathematics (with honors) from Johns Hopkins University.
Savaphol is currently Senior Researcher at Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research. He also has research experience in macroeconomic modeling and monetary economics. He worked in the model development and technical research unit at the monetary policy department, Bank of Thailand between 2020–2022. Furthermore, his research paper, entitled "Higher Moments, Highly Matter: Optimal Monetary Policy in an Uncertain World", won first place in the Setthatat economic research article competition (bachelor level) in 2021.
