
Shinawat Horayangkura earned PhD in Economics from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. He graduated Master's Degree in Durham University, United Kingdom. He also graduated Master's Degree in Public Administration and Economics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Currently he serves as the Director of the International Affairs Division at the Trade Competition Commission of Thailand. Previously he held the position of Director of the Market and Economic Analysis Division within the same organization. In addition, he has various work experiences as lecturer in university, researcher, civil servant, and officer in commercial bank.
His major research interest is behavioural economics, focusing decision making and nudging. He has applied behavioural economics in different areas, e.g., Big data and AI models, labour market, financial management, public policy, environment, as well as education. He also interests in applying microeconometrics in economic valuation and policy evaluation.
