
Tapanat Paiboonsin holds a Bachelor’s degree (Thai program) and a Master’s degree (international program) in Economics from Thammasat University.
He has professional experience as a Research Assistant at the Thammasat University Research and Consultancy Institute, where he contributed to the identification of extremely poor students using the Proxy Means Test (PMT). The project applied econometric techniques and machine learning methods to determine eligible beneficiaries under the Conditional Cash Transfer program of the Equitable Education Fund (EEF).
He is currently a Senior Economist in the Monetary Policy Group at the Bank of Thailand. His previous responsibilities included the analysis and monitoring of public sector stability, and he is currently responsible for monitoring the financial stability of the Thai business sector.
