
Currently, Thammarak serves as Director of Financial Institutions Strategy Department, Financial Institutions Policy Group, Bank of Thailand. Thammarak’s work experience includes modelling and forecasting, monetary policy strategy, reserves management, and corporate strategy He was also a coordinator for Project Inthanon, the BOT and commercial banks’ proof-of-concept initiative in wholesale central bank digital currency using Distributed Ledger Technology Thammarak was Assistant Chief Representative of the Bank of Thailand’s New York Representative Office in 2008–2009, and Lee Kuan Yew Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in 2013.
Thammarak has a BSc. (Econ) from the London School of Economics, PhD in Economics from The University of Melbourne, Master in Public Management from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and Bachelor of Law from Sukhothaithammathirat University.
Thammarak has written two textbooks: Monetary Policy: Theory and Practice (Chulalongkorn University Press, 3rd edition 2012), and Central Banking: Theory and Practice in Sustaining Monetary and Financial Stability (John Wiley and Sons, 2014).
