Thorn Pitidol is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University. He is also a Director of the Center for Research on Inequality and Social Policy (CRISP) at Thammasat University.
Thorn’s current research focuses on the issue of inequality and welfare policies, particularly in the context of Thailand. Thorn’s academic interests lie at the intersection between economics and politics. In the past, he has worked on issues including poverty, community development, corruption, civil society, and democratization.
Thorn held DPhil in Social Policy from University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
