Wasawat Champoontha holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics with First-Class Honors from Chulalongkorn University.
He is currently an economist in the Economic Forecasting Team, Macroeconomic Department at the Bank of Thailand, with experience in macroeconomic analysis and private investment, as well as machine learning and deep learning. He also received the runner-up award in the 2023 Setthathat Undergraduate Research Paper Competition for his research titled “Exploring Monetary Policy Uncertainty and the Impact of Emotional Responses to Monetary Policy: A Text-Based Analysis.”
