Jon Wongswan is a Head of Hedge Fund Department at Phatra Securities He creates new investment strategies and oversees systematic equity portfolios in Thailand and Asia.
Prior to joining Phatra, Jon had more than 8 years of international experience as an economist and an investment researcher He spent three years at Barclays Global Investors and created new investment strategies for U.S. and global equity hedge funds In addition, he developed and launched systematic Global Emerging Markets equity hedge fund Jon spent five years as an economist at the U.S. Federal Reserve Board where he was responsible for conducting policy work and research on international financial markets Besides frequently briefing Board members, he also published his research in top academic journals, namely American Economic Review and Review of Financial Studies.
Jon holds his PhD in economics from Duke University and his BA in economics from Chulalongkorn University.
