Roongtawan is currently a senior analyst at the Payment System Policy Department, Bank of Thailand.
She received her B.E. in Computer Engineering from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, M.E. in Information and Communication Technology for Embedded Systems from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) Thammasat University. She got a graduate student scholarship under the collaboration between the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) and SIIT.
She has work experiences in payment system information analysis and payment system policy.
