
Thosapon currently serves as an Assistant Director in the Monetary Policy Group at the Bank of Thailand, where he is responsible for monetary policy strategy, interest rate policy, and financial conditions analysis, with a focus on credit developments.
He has experience in economic forecasting and macroeconomic analysis using macroeconomic models in the Macroeconomic Department. He also worked on financial stability assessments in the Macroeconomic and Financial Stability Office, Monetary Policy Department, focusing on corporate sector vulnerabilities and risks and household debt conditions. In addition, he has worked on fiscal policy analysis, with research focusing on fiscal multiplier and the crowding-in effects of public investment on private investment.
He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Yonsei University, South Korea, under the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS), and a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics (First-Class Honors) from Thammasat University, where he received the H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej Award for the highest academic achievement in economics.
