
Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Setthapramote earned his bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University (recipient of the Merit Scholarship from the Economics Association of Thammasat University). He then pursued his master’s and doctoral degrees in Economics at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom (Thai Government Scholarship). After completing his studies in 2005, he joined the Faculty of Development Economics at the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), where he has been teaching to this day. His teaching covers both master’s and doctoral levels in econometrics, financial investment, and other subjects in financial economics. He also served as Director of the Financial Economics Program between 2010–2014.
His major research contributions include the development of Thailand’s macroeconometric model at NIDA. His published work includes “Synchronization of Business Cycles and Economic Policy Linkages in ASEAN” in the Journal of Asian Economics, August 2015 issue.
