Dr. Jaree holds a bachelor degree in Economics and Mathematics from Wellesley College, USA. She completed her Master of Philosophy in Economics (Peggy Howard Fellowship) and her Doctor of Philosophy in Social Policy at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom (Bank of Thailand Scholarship)
Dr. Jaree is currently an Assistant Director at Bank of Thailand’s Office of Corporate Strategy. Prior to this, she served as a Senior Analytics Strategist and Principal Economist at SCB Abacus, devising digital financial service strategy by using behavioral economics and big data in order to understand financial behavior. She also served as a senior researcher at Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research and worked at the Monetary Policy Group, Bank of Thailand on macro policy, monetary policy and economic forecasting. Her research interests include development economics and applied econometrics using household and firm-level data to understand linkages in financial behavior, inequality and structural changes such as aging society.
