Tanaporn, currently, serves as Senior Economist, Monetary Policy Department, Bank of Thailand. She is responsible for monitoring, forecasting, and analyzing inflation developments and related economic issues to support monetary policy decision-making.
She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Chulalongkorn University. She has professional experience in both the private and public sectors, including macroeconomic research at a private research institute and the compilation and analysis of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) at the Ministry of Commerce.
Moreover, she has published research and presented her work on “Thailand’s progress and future steps of implementing Alternative Data in Consumer Price Index” at the Meeting of the Group of Experts on CPI 2023, UNECE Switzerland and at the Conference on Economic and Trade Indices 2023, Ministry of Commerce.
