Swisa Pongpech is currently pursuing a DPhil in Sustainable Finance at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, University of Oxford. She previously held the position of Head of Sustainability Research at PIER and has worked at the Bank of Thailand for over twenty years in a broad range of central banking functions including financial landscape development, financial inclusion, financial liberalization, and financial markets.
She was the inaugural Head of the Sustainable Banking and International Strategy Division which oversaw the strategic planning, policy formulation and execution with regards to sustainable banking policies in Thailand.
Swisa has an M.B.A in Finance and Strategic Management from SASIN Graduate Institute of Business Administration, Chulalongkorn University and a Bachelors degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
