Dr. Kannika obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Thammasat University and obtained a master’s degree and Ph.D. degree in Economics from University of Warwick, United Kingdom.

Currently, Dr. Kannika serves as Section Head at Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research. She was formerly Senior Research Fellow at Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) and a lecturer in the School of Economics and Finance, University of St Andrews.

She is specialized in International Monetary Economics, Environmental Economics and Behavioral Economics, especially in climate change policy and green growth.
